Xiaomi has recently launched its Redmi Series Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 smartphones in China. Redmi's President Lu Weibing has given a hint to give a 32-megapixel selfie shooter camera in the next smartphone via a post on its social media platform Weibo. This smartphone can be launched in the name of Redmi S3 in China and the Redmi Y3 in the global market including India. When Mi Fans asked about new phones from Lu Weibing, he responded to many fans in Ya.

Prior to the Redmi Y3, Huawei P30 and Vivo V15 Pro have recently been launched with a 32 megapixel selfie camera. This way it will be Xiaomi's first smartphone, which can be launched with a 32 megapixel camera. Apart from this, 32 megapixel camera can be given in Honor 20i, Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. Samsung GD1 sensor can be given in Xiaomi's Redmi Y3.

Samsung launched this sensor in October last year, in which real-time HDR mode has been given. Redmi is preparing to launch Redmi 7, the next smartphone of its Redmi 6 series, soon in India. The Redmi Y3 can be made specifically for the youth, Selfie Centric. Redmi Y2, the last smartphone of this series, also has a 16-megapixel camera equipped with Artificial Intelligence. Apart from this, LED Flash is also available in the front. Redmi Y3 recently got Wi-Fi certification.




Xiaomi launched a couple of Redmi phones lately including the Redmi 7, the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Looks like the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is in no mood to stop anytime soon as some media reports suggest that the Redmi Y3 and Mi A3 are under development. The Redmi Y3 gets certified by Wi-Fi Alliance. This was first reported by website MySmartPrice.
The Wi-Fi Alliance certification site reveals some details of the Redmi Y3. It suggests that the Redmi Y3 will come with a model number M1810F6G. The Redmi Y3 will succeed the Redmi Y2 which was launched last year as a selfie-focused smartphone. It is highly likely that Redmi Y3 will also be a selfie-focused smartphone. The Redmi Y2 comes packed with a 16-megapixel selfie camera, being a successor we expect the Redmi Y3 to have an improved front camera. The phone is also expected to come with lots of AI features to offer better photography experience to the users.
The Wi-Fi Alliance certification website reveals that the Redmi Y3 will come with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support and run on Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10 out-of-the-box. The certification site didn’t reveal any further details about the Redmi Y3. Some rumours suggest that considering Redmi Y2 is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset it is likely that the Redmi Y3 may come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 6 Pro.

Like every year, in China, the Redmi Y2 will be called Redmi S3. While in India the phone will come with the name Redmi Y3. As for the pricing similar to the Redmi Y2, the Redmi Y3 is also expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 in India. There are no official reports from the company on the Redmi Y3.
Currently, the Redmi Y2 sells for a starting price of Rs 8,999 in India. This price is for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. The 4GB RAM model of the Redmi Y2 sells for Rs 10,999. To recap the specs, the Redmi Y2 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes in two variants -- 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The storage space can be expanded up to 256GB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot.
The Redmi Y2 comes with a 5.99-inch 'full-screen' HD+ display with a 1440x720p resolution. On the camera front, the Redmi Y2 includes a dual camera module on the back which includes one 12-megapixel sensor (f/2.2) and another 5-megapixel sensor. On the front, the Redmi Y2 comes with a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash that also enables face unlock. The Redmi Y2 is backed by a 3,080mAh battery, and charges over standard micro-USB.
